This can be achieved by running the Office OSPPREARM which is located in the Program Files folder. Running this will command the Trial will be extended by 30 days, it can be run five times.

How to extend the Office 2010 Trial period

1. Open a Command Prompt as Administrator (Quickest method is to the CMD in Windows 7 start menu search and hit return)

2. You need to navigate to one of the following paths:

64 Bit Office 2010, 64 Bit Windows

c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform

32 Bit Office 2010, 64 Bit Windows

c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform

3. Now run the OSPPREARM.exe file located in one of the above folders and you should received a “Microsoft Office rearm successful” message if you receive “Error: 0xc004d307 On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run ‘slui.exe 0x2a 0xc004d307’ to display the error text.” This happens because all of the 5 rearms have been used.

Logging in to Windows Live Messenger using separate accounts.

I’ve been looking for a way to do this a the last couple of months. Why would I want to do this? Well when I’m at home in the evening I want friends to see me and I don’t mind work colleagues being to contact me.

I mentioned this to a work colleague that he told me about A-Patch (Google it). Which works. Even thou it appears to have some dubious links. I’ve tried it on various PC’s and it appears fine.

Trust me one of these in my personal account and the other is my work account.

This has happened to me on a number of SBS boxes whit low hard drive space, generally on drive C:

SBS resets the cal count to 5!

We have just had a customer call and this has happened to. Normally we backup the CALS using the built in backup utility within SBS Console.

Found this MS KB 888818, which isn’t really much help.

Te SBS2003 licenses are kept in the licstr.cpa file in the WINDOWS\system32 folder.

Microsoft keep an automatic backup of this in autolicstr.cpa.

Stop the License Logging Service.

Rename licstr.cpa to licstr.cpa.old.

Copy autolicstr.cpa to licstr.cpa.

Start License Logging Service

Open Server Management to confirm that the licenses had been restored.

Then found post on Knight-Time Ramblings which worked!
